Axentia Strengthens Long-Term Commitment to U.S. Public Transportation Market

Axentia, a Swedish supplier of real-time passenger information systems for public transportation, is strengthening its presence in North America through the establishment of Axentia Inc., which was incorporated in 2025. The expansion marks an important step in the company’s long-term commitment to support transit agencies and partners across North America.

Axentia has been active in the United States for the past five years, working together with local partners, resellers, and transit agencies to deliver energy-efficient real-time passenger information solutions. As demand continues to grow for cost-efficient and easy-to-deploy passenger information systems in both urban and rural areas, Axentia’s technology has already been deployed with over 20 public transportation agencies across North America.

By establishing Axentia Inc., the company strengthens its ability to support transit agencies and partners locally while reinforcing its long-term commitment in the U.S. market and its existing partner network.

“The response from transit agencies across the U.S. has been very positive,” said Pontus Arvidsson, Vice President, Axentia Inc. “Agencies are looking for reliable, flexible and energy-efficient passenger information solutions that can be deployed quickly and cost-effectively, and our experience so far indicates that this is exactly where Axentia can add value. Through Axentia Inc., we can be closer to our customers, support our partners more effectively, and continue building long-term relationships in the U.S. market.”

Axentia’s solutions combine a Transit Intelligence platform with ultra-low-power, battery-powered real-time displays designed for both urban and rural environments. The systems simplify deployment of passenger information in locations where traditional infrastructure can be costly or difficult to implement.

The company has built a strong partner network in the United States and works closely with U.S.-based manufacturing and integration partners to support local market requirements, including Buy America compliance.

“With more than 30,000 displays in operation globally, we bring proven technology and operational reliability to the U.S. market,” said Dick Ollas, CEO of Axentia Group. “We see strong long-term potential in North America and are committed to supporting transit agencies and partners with scalable and sustainable passenger information solutions.”

The establishment of Axentia Inc. further strengthens the company’s ability to support the evolving needs of public transportation agencies across North America.
